Hills No Interest Loans (NILS)

The Hut offers no interest and no fee loans to residents of the Adelaide Hills on a low income. The NILS program at The Hut is facilitated by volunteers and is overseen by Good Shepherd. This great program allows people on low incomes to buy new appliances or services via interest free loans using safe, fair and affordable credit rather than using payday lenders or hire purchase.  For further information amount Good Shepherd visit their website https://goodshep.org.au/services/nils/.

NILS can provide loans of up to $2000 for new appliances such as fridges, washing machines, lounge suites, TV’s, prescription glasses, car repairs or servicing, medical procedures and education expenses.

This is repaid in regular affordable repayments up to 18 month period (usually via Centrepay). Please click here to see examples of fortnightly repayment amounts, which vary depending on total amount borrowed and the length of time.
