Hills Volunteering

People choose to volunteer for many reasons. Some have a desire to help and contribute to the community, while others seek to learn new skills as a pathway to employment. Many people are in a position to teach new skills, others like to make new friends and have some fun. Whatever the reason, everyone agrees that volunteering boosts confidence, skills and employment prospects while giving something positive back to the community.

Hills Volunteering is the volunteer connection for the Adelaide Hills region. Based at The Hut, Hills Volunteering gets results in training, education and community service by making connections between volunteers and organisations.

There are many places needing volunteers in the Adelaide Hills - animal shelters, heritage buildings, museums, galleries, gardens, community centres, aged care, libraries, environmental projects, youth services and more.

Hills Volunteering works with local employment agencies and networks to identify skills gaps and link appropriately skilled volunteers. In collaboration with training provides, Hills Volunteering also develops accredited and other training opportunities for volunteers.
